Privacy Policy

Last updated 7 October 2026

This policy explains what ProductInk (“we”) collects when you use productink.ai and the ProductInk Chrome extension, why, who processes it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address and password (stored hashed by our sign-in provider), or your Google sign-in.
  • Recordings: while you record with the extension, it records a video of the tab you record and takes screenshots of it at each step, and captures the steps you take (what you click, the text you type into fields, the options you choose, and where they are on screen), the pointer’s path, the page’s address and title, and, if you allow it, your microphone narration and camera. It never captures what you type into password fields or the files you choose. It records only the tab you start it in, and only between Start and Stop.
  • What you make: projects, brand kits (names, colours, logos, backgrounds), uploads, chat messages with the ProductInk assistant, and the videos made and their versions.
  • Technical data: the minimum needed to run and secure the Service: your browser’s requests, sign-in sessions, and error logs.

Recordings show whatever is on your screen. Avoid recording other people’s personal data, or hide it in the editor before sharing.

How we use it

  • to provide the Service: store your recordings, transcribe narration, make, edit, render and share your videos, and answer you in the chat;
  • to keep the Service secure and working, and to fix problems;
  • to contact you about your account and important changes.

We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use your content to train AI models.

Who processes it

We use these providers to run the Service. They process data only on our instructions:

  • Neon (database, sign-in and background processing);
  • Cloudflare (R2 storage for recordings, screenshots, audio and videos);
  • Vercel (hosting the website);
  • Anthropic (the AI that looks at your screenshots, directs videos and answers in the chat);
  • OpenAI (transcribing narration and producing voiceovers).

Our AI providers process your content through their business APIs, whose terms do not allow them to train their models on it. We may disclose data if the law requires it.

Shared videos

When you share a video, the finished video, its title and your project’s name are visible to anyone with the link or wherever you embed it. Your recordings, screenshots and chat are never shown on shared pages.

Where and how long

Data is stored in the United States. We keep it while your account is open. When you delete a project, we delete it with everything in it: its recordings, screenshots, audio, uploads and videos. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, apart from copies in backups, which expire on their normal schedule, and anything we must keep by law.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest with our providers, files are reached only through short-lived signed links, and the video player runs in an isolated frame. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at help@productink.ai if you find a problem.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can see, change and delete your projects in the app. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it, or to restrict or object to its processing, by writing to help@productink.ai. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you may have further rights, including complaining to a data-protection authority.

Children

The Service is not for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change, and tell you by email or in the app about significant changes.
